During Kim’s fight with Alex alone, the psychiatrist continued to try and get three upper hand physically and mentally. Were you ever concerned that she was on either level?

I always felt like Kim would beat Alex on physically, but I feared that Alex would beat her mentally. I didn't know how that would happen though as I know it is a long series. I guess I suspected Kim would regress some.

I was really worried, thinking Alex was going to beat her physically because she’d weakened her mentally. Even though I knew Kim would survive, I thought maybe only because someone else would come rescue her. It was a great moment when the point of view switched to Kim and I learned she was working to dislodge that safety pin.

Still, I think Alex did put chinks in those walls Kim has erected. Not sure how it will show up later.
