I've never read pretty little liars but I watched the tv series (i know, i'm sorry) so i would recommend to you the Ninth house by Leigh Bardugo. It's the first book of a new adult trilogy full of mistery, magic and intrigues, don't want to say more bc you should read it. A book series that I read this year, totally loved and not enough people know is The mirror visitor, that follows the story of this girl, Ofelia, who can go through mirrors and see the history of an object by thouching it. The worldbuilding is amazing and the lovestory is adorable.

The Purple Bookworm (jnorcena) Aizlyn wrote: "Does anyone know a book with action/ fantasy maybe something like Hunger games? (not read it yet but guess it has that element)"

Three Dark Crowns by Kendare Blake is a good book that has pretty much the same element as Hunger Games. It's fantasy though, not dystopian, but it's about triplets who have to kill each other and the lone victor becomes the queen (this is just the basic gist of the story!)

The Purple Bookworm (jnorcena) Does anyone known a book/series that can get me started on sci-fi? I haven't read that much sci-fi this year and I don't know which YA book to start with

I've recently read Aurora Rising by Amie Kaufman and Jay Kristoff. It is set in space, very funny and the story is super intriguing! I highly recommend it to you if you haven't read it yet.

The Night School series by CJ Daugherty. (I recommend this to everyone here) it's so great but not many people know about it. It's a 5 book series. It has so much of everything. Action Drama Thriller Mystery Romance... (ALSO the main character reminds me a lot of Celaena Sardothein from Tog)
