The Mystery of Mrs. Christie was really good! I won an ARC and highly recommend for any Agatha Christie fan or historical fiction fan.

I came across last nite an advertisement for this novel on Facebook. Haven't read anything yet by author Marie Benedict.

I'm anticipating so many new books, not all of them historical fiction. Here are a few:

The Rose Code
The Women of Chateau Lafayette
Sunflower Sisters
What Could Be Saved
The Four Winds
The Most Beautiful Girl in Cuba

The Four Winds seems quite interesting as it's to do with the Great Depression. Not many historical fiction novels about this time period it seems (or so it does to me).

She's is a favorite author for me so it's to the point I'll read anything she writes.

THE ROSE CODE, definitely! Kate Quinn is my drop-everything-else author.

Dark Tides by Philippa Gregory. The first book in this series, Tidelands was awesome! Can't wait to read this second one.

I loved Tidelands. I loved the idea of a typical romance stood on its head, how an attractive young man is actually a disaster-in-the-making. Am looking forward to Dark Tides, which I preordered, very much. Am a big fan of Philippa Gregory!

The Shadows of Men: A Novel #5 Sam Wyndham by Abir Mukherjee. Historical mystery set in 1920's India.

Looking forward to The Rose Code by Kate Quinn

Looking forward to Menewood by Nicola Griffith (sequel to Hild) and The Hidden Palace by Helene Wecker (sequel to The Golem and the Jinni).

I just broke down and bought The Four Winds by Kristin Hannah yesterday. I was checking my library daily for it, but they still didn't have it and with the way my luck and the library goes I know that when they do get it it would be at least a 3 month wait. I can't wait that long, so I had a $5.00 digital credit at Amazon and used it for this one. I can't wait to get to it, probably by Tues.

Also holding my breath for The Rose Code by Kate Quinn, love her books! Again no sign of it from my library. I may break down and buy this one too, this is getting expensive. Too many great ones coming out that my impatience can't wait for! LOL

Sunflower Sisters is a must after reading the two previous books in the series, but I have till the end of March for that one, but will most likely jump on that right away, love the Ferriday sister's story and now to read about their ancestor Georgeanna Woolsey is too much to wait for!

Thanks for your post. I am new to this group and finding good books is one of my main goals. Your favs sounds like ones I should look into.

I'm waiting for An Irish Hostage (next in the Bess Crawford series) and Castle Shade (next in the Mary Russell and Sherlock Holmes series).
Both are on order at the library.

Yes!!! I loved The Silence of the Girls.
