Not sure how many books I am gonna pick for this month, but I figured that this one was a good start. It is a New Years based story about two people born on the same day. Feel free to leave your fully spoiled reviews below.

It literally took me more than a month to read this book. I really just found it to be average. The only part I got excited about was the very end (maybe the last 20-30 minutes).

The main characters were pretty underwhelming they didn't have hobbies or really personalities outside of 1 trait. For Minnie it was being unlucky, and for Quinn it was his mom being agoraphobic (it wasn't even his trait). I was honestly more entertained by the side characters than the main ones. The romance was pretty okay, although I didn't really appreciate Minnie being okay if Quinn was cheating on another girl with her. And I am still not sure if Quinn was really dating someone or if he just told her that to keep her away.

TT I’ve been wanting to read a good destiny/Meant-to-be love story and I had this book and “one day in December” or something kike that in my TBR list but then I accidentally read a spoiler review of the last boom and I was like “uff dodge a bullet there” and I was really unsure about reading this one because I was afraid of getting some “One day” (movie) ending but now with your review i feel like I dodge another bullet.

Is there any slow burn destined to be together romance book that is actually good?

Oh my gosh, I hated "One Day" so much because I got so attached to the characters and then the ending absolutely killed me. It literally made me swear off movies and books with sad endings.

I would recommend "My Great Ex-Scape" its about a girl who hunts down her ex boyfriends so it kind of has the meant to be together aspect, but it doesn't take place over the course of years.

TT I saw the movie like 5 years ago and I still feel emotionally drained and then I saw there was a book and it became a fear to read something like that, i’m not ready for that and I recently read a book I thought fit this category but with a “happy ending”and uff was I wrong! It took me so much to finish the last 40 pages because I couldn’t read through the tears.

This is my favorite “troop” but 300+ pages feel like a huge investment to find out there’s not a happy ending. Tks for the recommendation I’ll check it out

I just remembered there was a movie I watched that was similar to One Day, but with a happy ending called “Love, Rosie” I totally recommend it.

TT Oh yes, that’s a comfort movie for me, I love it!
