It literally took me more than a month to read this book. I really just found it to be average. The only part I got excited about was the very end (maybe the last 20-30 minutes).
The main characters were pretty underwhelming they didn't have hobbies or really personalities outside of 1 trait. For Minnie it was being unlucky, and for Quinn it was his mom being agoraphobic (it wasn't even his trait). I was honestly more entertained by the side characters than the main ones. The romance was pretty okay, although I didn't really appreciate Minnie being okay if Quinn was cheating on another girl with her. And I am still not sure if Quinn was really dating someone or if he just told her that to keep her away.

Is there any slow burn destined to be together romance book that is actually good?
Oh my gosh, I hated "One Day" so much because I got so attached to the characters and then the ending absolutely killed me. It literally made me swear off movies and books with sad endings.
I would recommend "My Great Ex-Scape" its about a girl who hunts down her ex boyfriends so it kind of has the meant to be together aspect, but it doesn't take place over the course of years.

This is my favorite “troop” but 300+ pages feel like a huge investment to find out there’s not a happy ending. Tks for the recommendation I’ll check it out
I just remembered there was a movie I watched that was similar to One Day, but with a happy ending called “Love, Rosie” I totally recommend it.
