1. To add a new edition of a title, it is best to add it from the existing editions.***On any title, there is a choice that says Add New Edition
this will correctly format the author, and connect the edition properly to the other editions of the title.
2. For your reference, all authors with initials are formatted with "dots" after the initials and no spaces.
Do you have a cover for this title?
I have combined it correctly with the other editions.
Thank you for the information! I couldn't find any pictures of this edition so took one of the first page (the cover is just red, nothing more) and I loaded it but it didn't take it...? This is so much easier on a alaptop than phone 😄
Ok, I tried to change the cover but the problem is the picture is too big. How do I change that on a phone (Android)?
Why can't I find this book from the search engine? I tried to add this to a topic but the add book/author can't find it.
If you can give us the ISBN of the book, I will add a cover for it. As for the search engine, it might just need a bit more time, but when we have an ISBN, it should appear through an ISBN search right away even if the title takes a bit longer.
The book was published in 1918 so it doesn't have an ISBN. I couldn't find any pictures of this book from Google but I will try adding the picture I took from my laptop later. But thank you both for answering my ramblings 😊
My bad, I didn't look at the publication date before asking!As for the cover, even if it is just red, you should not replace it by the first page. But you can post it as it is. I suppose in the case of those old books, a picture with the book slightly in perspective (as opposed to 100% frontal picture) could make sense too.
If you manage to do it yourself, wonderful. Otherwise post the picture on your profile and we can get it from there and add it to the book.
