Can someone explain what this is? It's morbidly fascinating, but I don't quite understand it. Are these people who look like they will be pushing up daisies really soon, or people we could do without? And what is the the 27 club? Thanks!

We list famous people who are elderly/egregiously ill/living fast-dying young to see how many of them survive another year. The "27 club" is many very famous people died at 27 like Jim Morrison, Janis Joplin, Kurt Cobaine, Amy Winehouse.

I see him all the time doing commercials for this looney-tunes organization Swiss America "warning Americans...about the dangers of a potentially cashless world due to the rise of technology and security in modern banking. He encourages you to call or go online for a free Swiss America Report outlining these potential dangers." He looks like death warmed over and sounds like that crazy uncle who lives in a shack in the mountains.

I only ever saw one episode of that show and I concur. Horrible show and she was so annoying in it.

The only other centenarians I recognized apart from her and Lloyd, are screenwriter and director Walter Bernstein, and character actor Nehemiah Persehoff.

Good add. I always get comments that we are sometimes shooting fish in a barrel with our picks. We had Olivia de Havilland on the first list in 2012 at 96 years old. She died in 2020 at 104 years old. Those old ones are tough buggers.
