I always felt like Holmes didn't deserve Watson as a friend or anything else and given how chapter 1 is going, my opinion stands. Or maybe they just don't deserve each other? I guess I just find their relationship exhausting. Does anyone else feel that way?

Yes, absolutely. I feel that Holmes really messed up this time, Watson is too much nice for her sometimes.
