Agnieszka (agnieszka7) | 237 comments I'm so glad my library has a copy and I set my name on the waiting list as soon as I've seen it. I'll get my copy within the next week.

Magiccats | 285 comments Have 2 other books on the go but will add Stormbreaker to my tablet later today. Hope to finish one of the others later today and to start this group read by the weekend.

Agnieszka (agnieszka7) | 237 comments I got my copy today and will start reading in the next couple of days.

L.G. (upl8) | 73 comments I read this last week. This is the first YA book of the author's that I have read. Having read his Adult fiction, I missed his sharp wit and multiple side characters. Yesterday I watched the first episode of Alex Rider on IMDB.

Agnieszka (agnieszka7) | 237 comments I finished the book yesteday and it was ok. I liked the suspensfull style and the main character, I struggled with the many lucky 'conveniencies' (he got exactly those toys he did need, he learned all he needed beforehand, the mine, the last scene with Yassen Gregorovich, ...) and most of the characters (the perp and his people beeing nasty is ok) but the way the MI6 people treated him was just strange plus MI6 instead of MI5 working in the UK was just too much.
Since the plot was entertaining enough I have now an idea what to read when I need another 150+pages children's book for a challenge. Otherwise I doubt I'll continue this series.

I think I've seen an Alex Rider movie years ago but am no more sure which one.

Anees Arshad Well I have read only the first book in the series.

Magiccats | 285 comments Well, finished the book. Imagine my surprise as I was reading and thinking ...this all sounds familiar... that I discovered I had already read this book over a year ago. Can't say much for my memory....LOL.
As a YA book I did find this entertaining. The plot moved along quickly with lots of action.
