Romance Audiobooks discussion

This challenge was recommended by Mary and we’ve developed it for how we will select the authors each month, including our members in the nomination and selection process.

Here’s how it works
1. We will begin the nomination process for recommending authors on December 15th. We will keep the nominations open for members to add authors throughout the year. We will set up a new poll each month on the 23rd of the month, eliminating those already selected and adding any new ones.
2. Each month we will set up the selected author and provide the link to her/his Goodreads book page.
3. Members must select at least one book to listen to during the challenge in order to participate.
4. There will be three challenge levels:
- Fan: 1 book
- Serious Like: 2 books
- Auto Read: 3 books or more
5. Members are limited to three nominations each month.

About the Author
Information about the author will also be provided, noting any popular titles or series.

We will open nominations on December 15 so start thinking of your recommendations between now and then.

I like that idea, Jonetta. I voted but I'm down to listen to either authors. We got some good choices out there.

I’ve never been sure if this is to help us find new authors or if we can nominate any author. I’m wondering if a month or two to look at authors whose books are getting some main stream exposure might be kind of fun. Thinking of Robin Carr and Julia Quinn with their recent TV series exposure with Virgin River and Bridgegerton respectively. I’m sure there are others that meet that criteria.

The purpose is to have members share their love for authors they’ve listened to in the past, recommending suggested titles if that author is selected. You can nominate any author that fits that criteria for you.

It is not an objective to promote authors because of trends or their own current exposure with TV or movie adaptations as you’ve outlined. Our request is that we not recommend authors for that purpose but because you want to share your own personal reading/listening experience.

I'd like to nominate Dianne Duvall. Both her Immortal Guardians and her Aldebarian Alliance series are great listens! They are both paranormal romances. Her Aldebarian Alliance adds in a sci-fi element.
