Sci-Fi Romance discussion

This is a specific book that I read 2 years ago.

The setting is a spaceship. The heroine (human) is thrown into a cell with a dangerous man (or alien?). He is chained up, so he can't reach her corner of the cell.

He taunts her a bit and tries to get her to come closer. She's smart enough not to do it. But eventually she realizes that her best chance of escape is to trust him and release him. (He still acts evil).

She realeases him and they come up with a plan to escape and take over the ship, then they fall in love eventually. I just can't remember what book it was
