I'm aiming for eight books.

Anyone have a favorite book from 2020? I'm looking for recommendations for the "friend recommended" category.

My favorite was probably the one I just finished: Moonscript by H.S.J. Williams. But I'm not sure that one would be to your tastes.

One book I read this year that you probably would like, though, would be He Whistles for the Cricket by Gwen Walker. Super sweet historical with a classic feel, dogs, and touching Christian themes. 160 pages, so it would work for the challenge. ;)

I'm not sure what types of books you typically enjoy all but a couple of my favorite from this year have been
The first two are a little more sentimental, Love Comes Softly type, the last one is much more "set you straight down in the middle of WWII and see what it was like" - very powerful, but emotional!

Ooh! I have seen the movie a few times but have never read the book. I ought to do that... I don't know if it will fit into January, but hopefully sometime in 2021!
