Annual Challenge 2021 - Read Around Australia
AUSSIE AUTHORS ONLY
Duration: 1st January - 31st December 2021

There are eight states/territories in Australia - therefore:

Our challenge is to read one from each with a maximum of two from any state/territory to equal your minimum of 12 for the year. Each book must be SET in the state of choice, as well as being an Aussie author. The author doesn't need to come from that state.

For example:
2 x WA
1 x SA
1 x Tas
2 x NT
1 x ACT
2 x NSW
1 x Vic
2 x Qld

Your further challenge will be to see if you can read to the next level and beyond...

Levels of Achievement:

Book Lover - complete 12 books (maximum 2 per state)
Book Worm - complete 24 books (maximum 4 per state)
Book Connoisseur - complete 36 books (as many as you like with a minimum of three per state)

I'm a Canberra author and I have one short sweet romance, Instant Family set in Canberra Instant Family I set my books mostly in Sydney or rural NSW--romance and romantic suspense.

Six Minutes by Petronella McGovern is also set in the ACT.Six Minutes

If you're a romance reader there are Aussie authors galore from all over the country in a variety of subgenres.

A good one I read in 2020, set predominantly in ACT was Joe Cinque's Consolation, A True Story of Death, Grief and the Law by Helen Garner

Can we add our books as we read or do we need to nominate before we start? I'll try for two from each state.

Set out your challenge in the post and then I'll be able to link you. Phrynne's and mine aren't complete - so yes, that's ok. If you pop them in as you find them (before you read them), it also helps others for their own challenge.

Let's be honest, I'm probably (almost 100% sure) I'm going to fail miserably...But let's try it anyway.
