Okay, I'll have to look for that book. This is one of the lists that I looked at and said, "It would be cool to see if I can read every book on this list. Some of the books I've read multiple times, but I'd like to see if I can read them all! No set schedule, but it'll be fun to see what I can do this year.

I've read many of the classics on the Guardian list since I did this challenge with another group a few years ago, but it's no longer active.
There are some books I'm never planning to read, like Moby Dick.

message 26: by Eileen (new)

Eileen | 1854 comments LOL, Rosemarie, I don't know that I want to read Moby Dick. So I'm sure there are some that will remain unread. But I'm curious to see how many I can end up reading. Several are already on the list, but the next one that will likely be read is The Three Musketeers. I meant to start it earlier this month, but with my tutoring schedule becoming crazy, and my ARC list exploding, I probably won't start it until next month.

message 27: by Penelope (new)

Penelope | 133 comments I belong to the Guardian 1000 books to read... on Goodreads. It’s a great list but I recognise that there are many titles I will never read and many I read a long time ago that I can barely remember. The BCC list is more realistic and I too have read at least 50 of them. I think I started Moby Dick a few times 😅. Maybe I’ll never finish that one. Although maybe it could be a fine one to read a chapter a day the way I am reading War and Peace at the moment. Could be a good buddy read??
I can’t believe how many titles you all get to each month. I realise how slow a reader I am. Your lists are so inspiring!

message 28: by Eileen (new)

Eileen | 1854 comments Penelope, these BBC/NPR lists are probably going to take me years to complete, assuming I do complete them. I'm not exactly looking forward to tackling Moby Dick, lol!
