Cheryl Olson (girlsmama) | 694 comments Ah, I love a good classic- last year, I went through the Anne of Green Gables books, Northanger Abbey and The Nutcracker and the Mouse King , to name a few.- all of them were a delight. This challenge is for the old soul, one who enjoys picking up an old classic, and will challenge you to pick up a few more to read this year.

I know there is debate on "What is a classic?". I'm not too particular on this one, I'd say if you can find your title on a list marked "classic novels" somewhere, then that is good enough for me. (Non-fiction classics count as well!) Classics can take a while to read, so the numbers will be lower for this challenge.

Also one little addition, can you please ask a fellow book reader who loves classics to recommend a "classic read" for you. Please list it here- I'm excited to see what you pick based on a friend's recommendation.

Also, I have discovered the "What the Dickens" group on Facebook which is a classics book club put on by Christian authors Katherine Reay, Kristy Cambron and Sarah E. Ladd. That has been a fun way to get a few classics into my reading routine and they have great giveaways as well! So , just thought I'd let you classic readers know about that.

Here are your levels-

1-2 Classics- Pilgrim's Progress

3-10 Classics- Of Mice and Men

11-20 Classics- Little Women

21-30 Classics-Great Expectations

31-49-Classics- Emma

50+-Classics -The Count of Monte Cristo

This will be a year long challenge- who are our "Classics "readers?

Tracker will go live Jan 1- https://www.goodreads.com/challenges/...
