I agree a lot with John. It is a great idea to have a theme to work through. I also recommend while reading the Bible to find at least one thing that can help you throughout your day.

I am also hoping to read one Psalm a day; I did that a few years ago and am going to try again.
I also read Grace for the Moment by Max Lucado each morning. Last year I read his newer one, God is With You Everyday.

I do like what Lil is doing and reading one book over and over during a month’s time. I might incorporate that as well.
Good luck everyone!😊

Yes I You Version and haven't looked there yet I also heard of a Carry App that you can use. Need to take a look at it!

1. Ephesians (Bible #49), ESV

I agree Christine- I love the Psalms- balm to my soul!

Interesting!

I'm not doing well with this challenge at all and am still reading Romans and not every day either during the months I've been reading it. I'm 4 books behind, and so, I'm reducing my goal from 14 (and my actual list from 17) to 12, removing the longer books to give me some hope of not completely failing this challenge.
1. Romans
2. 1 Corinthians
3. 2 Corinthians
4. Galatians
5. Ephesians
6. Philippians
7. Colossians
8. 1 Thessalonians
9. 2 Thessalonians

challenge this year. I will give you some suggestions below. I am going to attempt to do a tracker with this one, as I've found that the ESV Bible version breaks down each book of the Bible, so you can break it down that way. So even though you may not be reading the ESV version, you can track each book of the Bible that way= hope that makes sense.
Here are some suggestions for you, but some of you may have your own reading plans, so have at it. But if you have a different plan that you'd like to tackle, then you are free to do your own and just track what you do. Also, there is the "Big Kahuna in chronological order" for those that might be doing a chronological Bible reading plan.
Levels-
Pentateuch- The First 5 books of the Bible- Genesis, Exodus,Leviticus, Numbers, Deuteronomy
The Gospel Truth level- Read the 4 Gospels-(Matthew, Mark, Luke and John) - 4 Books of the Bible
12 for 12- Read 12 books of the Bible- your choice, that's only one per month.
Oldies but goodies level- Just the Old Testament= 39 Books of the Bible
Newsies level- Just The New Testament- 27 Books of the Bible
Songs and Wisdom- level Psalms and Proverbs- 2 Books of the Bible
The Big Kahuna level - The Old and new testament in one year! That's 66 books!
The Big Kahuna in Chronological order- 66 books
Different Angles reading- choose to read the same books of the Bible in different translations. So for instance read the book of John in the NIV versions and then choose to read it in a different translation like the Passion translation or the NASB. How rich it is to study the word of God and learn as much as we can! You choose how many books of the Bible you would like to do that with.
