Nikki (mnnikki) | 164 comments I read aloud to my 9 yr old The Watsons Go to Birmingham - 1963 by Christopher Paul Curtis which is a Newberry Honor Book. It's both funny & intense and we both enjoyed it. Definitely lots of snuggles at the end during the scarier parts.
