See which books staff read for this challenge below. If you've completed this challenge, let us know which book you read as well! Also, don't forget to register for the 2021 Reading Challenge at dmpl.org/readingchallenge.

Christine Comito | 6 comments I don't often read this genre, but I just finished Perestroika in Paris by Jane Smiley. A lovely story. Not what I expected :)

Lori | 2 comments I read From Blood and Ash by Jennifer Armentrout. I think I have enjoyed every book I have read from her. I really liked this book. It is a non-traditional vampire book. I went on to read the next in the series (Kingdom of Flesh and Fire) and loved this one. I am anxiously waiting for the next one which is supposed to come out in April.

I read A Court of Silver Flames by Sarah J. Maas, the 4th book in her Court series. Check this series out if you love your fantasy with lots of romance, soft world-building, and girl power all around.

Laurie | 20 comments I took a suggestion from an earlier post and read Perestroika In Paris. I listened to it on audio. It's not something I would have read if not for this challenge, so I appreciate the nudge.

I read Klara and the Sun by Kazuo Ishiguro. The main character is an android or Artificial Friend. I recommend this haunting and thought-provoking novel with Ishiguro's excellent writing.

Michelle Youll | 15 comments I also took the suggestion from earlier and read Perestroika In Paris. I thought it was a cute story, but it wasn't the best thing I have ever read. I normally wouldn't pick something like this (this was the last prompt I had for the whole challenge and kept putting it off), but this is exactly why I love challenges like this - to get me out of my comfort zone! I enjoyed reading something different and I did enjoy the style of writing in this one.
