January is the 1st month of 2021 so I was thinking of books that have
-the New Year celebration/theme
-the 1st of January is also the International family day, so you could also suggest a book part of a family series
-the gem of the month is garnet, so a cover with read.

Suggest books that have one(or more) of these themes and we'll vote on it at the end of this month, starting on the 30th.
The books can be new or old, they should be historicals, but it can be another genre if you think we'll all enjoy them. You can suggest more then 1 book.

I'm going to suggest:
The Footman by Minerva Spencer because the hero has reinvented himself
Temptation's Darling by Johanna Lindsey because it has red on the cover
The Highlander Who Protected Me by Vanessa Kelly because it has a single mom who's fighting to make a family

Susan (susaninaz) | 1075 comments This Is It by Tess Summers seems to have all three elements: Family, New Year's Day, and a Garnet-red dress on the cover.

I am somewhat of a silent member. Diligently follow all the puzzlers.

I always circle back to this wholesome group whenever I am in need of good recommendations. Would you all please suggest what I should read in January? Preferably something humorous and snarky.

My favorites authors are Ilona Andrews, Shelly Laurenston, Jennifer Cruise, Lisa K, Loretta C, Shelly Thomas. Susan Donovan, Rachel Gibson, Sarina Bowen. Tessa Dare, Sarah MacClean, Lauren Layne, Penny Reid, Molly Harper, Lucy Parker
I have read Elizabeth Hoyt, Tara Sivec, R L Mathewson, Johanna Lindsey, Lorraine Heath, Julie Anne Long, Laura Lee Ghurke.

Mia Vincy's A Dangerous Kind of Lady had so much snark, I was surprised it didn't burn my e-reader. I hope you like it.

Take a look at First Grave on the Right by Darynda Jones for a paranormal series with tons of snark. I also recommend author Lucy Score and in particular her books Riley Thorn and the Dead Guy Next Door, and Rock Bottom Girl. Annika Martin has the Billionaire's of Manhattan series and I think it's hilarious. Krista Sandor has the Own the Eights series and it's very funny as well.
