Sarah Prineas is local to me, and I've read and enjoyed a lot of her books. So I think I'll try another for this category -- either Dragonfell or the not-yet-released Trouble in the Stars.

Well, I didn’t choose Stephan King. I read Unpaved Surfaces by Joseph Souza.

Googling turned up a bit but I asked for ideas in a local moms Facebook group and they had tons of suggestions!

Colorado Here!
I just checked out a copy of “While Gods Sleep” by L.D. Colter. I’ve never read any of her works but it’s a Greek Mythology spin set in 1950s alternate-reality Greece and the main character is a locksmith, so...I’m super intrigued. She’s won Fantasy book awards twice in Colorado, one for this book, so I’m really excited to dive in.....after I get through the other 3 books I’m reading now 😅

Today I finished A Good Kind of Trouble by Lisa Moore Ramée and thankfully read through the bio because she lives in the Bay Area of California, just like me!

I read this aloud with my 9 yr old daughter and we both enjoyed it. The 12 yr old perspective on something so real life to us (police officer on trial for murdering a Black person) was good to read together.

I picked up If I Disappear for this, written by a fellow Californian. Not my favorite but I also don't usually ready thrillers/mystery; and it was entertaining enough that I wanted to know what in the world was happening.
