I am going to be honest, it took me forever to get through this book. It wasn't that it was boring or that it didn't have a good story line, but I just could not get through it as quickly as other books I have read. Normally it will take me about 1 to 2 days to read a book, this one took 5 days.
Besides the time it took, I really liked the book. I loved some of the characters, the setting, the community and the cute dates she went on. I am not gonna lie, I even liked some of the drama that happened within the dates.
*Spoiler*
I would say the part that I liked the least would be how Matt reacted to Kate not telling him that Sarah saw her ex and how he reacted after they slept together. Both situations were kind of explained by Laura and Matt, but it still was a bit much.
Another thing that I liked that was not present in the spoiler free section was when the date manager asked Kate to report the sleazy guy she was paired up with. I was so glad to see that someone cared about the date process and its authenticity.
Overall I really enjoyed how cute and sweet and Christmasy this book was, it really got me into the Christmas mood.
I gave it 4 stars.

I read it in one sit but I think I sort of cheated but not on purpose, I found myself kind of skimming thru some parts, the book was too descriptive at the wrong times and really shallow at the important parts.
For example around chapter two, I was thinking "how is she going to fall in love on a date?? It has to be someone we´ll get to know along with the story so I was like "MATT!" and I loved it because I was not expecting a childhood-friend/its-always-been-you type of story but did we really get to know Matt? The memories of the pear tree and their first kiss was cute and their interactions were really funny and I loved him and thought he was a nice guy but I want more insight, the book had full pages describing a picture she took for her inspiration board or about making food, but you gave me a 5 line description of his big I love you gesture/confession, they just said I love you and kept watching the movie as nothing happened, next morning they just went on with their lives like just another day.
I really enjoyed it and gave it 4 stars too and the characters were cute and funny and in the end, it is a feel-good holiday book and I did feel good but I wanted to swoon and aww more. When I read romance books I want the part when I have to stop and make a face of "ugh come on I love this guy, where can I find one like this" but I "aww" more for the ice skating fireman than for Matt. At one moment I related Matt to a tv character I love (Nick from New Girl) so maybe I should thank myself for making me fall in love with him when that was the book´s job.
