Gothica Noctua (gothicanoctua) | 25 comments Hello all - you can call me "Red".

I've wanted to read this book for some time, and was inspired to finally do so when I came across the challenge. I confess that the little I know about the story comes from the musical Natasha, Pierre and the Great Comet of 1812.

Outside of reading, my other interests include history, Victoriana and Steampunk, cooking, loom knitting and exchanging penpal letters.

Skye (skye_reads) | 12 comments Hello,

I’m new to GoodReads as of New Year’s Eve 2020. This is wonderful discovery!

War and Peace is of interest, I’m reading epic Classics. My knowledge of this era tho is limited, I wondered if it might be a difficult read without historical background.

Finding this group was a pleasant surprise, perhaps helping to fill the gaps, make this book even more enjoyable and meet new friends 😃👋🏼

Sharonb Hi I'm Sharon. This book is next on my TBR but I need to finish The count of monte cristo first. I only started that on 19th December but am already over half way through so hopefully wont be long until I can start War and Peace. one of my reading aims for this year is to read 4 'big books'. I have had W and P on my bookshelf for years but the print is so small that it puts me off when I pick it up. plan to treat myself to a different edition with bigger print. look forward to discussing it with you all.
