This thread is to discuss The One, the third book in the The Selection Series by Kiera Cass.

Pages: 323 pages

Length: 1 Month (January)

Participants: Alaina, Allie, Sara.

Everyone reads at their own pace during a Buddy Read. Because participants can be at different parts of the book at different times, it is extremely important to mark spoilers so that the book is not ruined for someone who is not as far along as others!!!

Mark spoilers by placing {spoiler} before the text and {/spoiler} after the text but use the < and > instead of the { and }.

100%: (view spoiler)[Honestly, not bad for being the third book. Even if things were a bit predictable or cliché here and there. I just think things annoy me because I don't watch the bachelorette or bachelor shows and it seems like this is pretty similar to that. Just with less deaths and rebellions - ya know? LOL I feel you because that's how I felt in the beginning..

I’ve finished....this one seemed to wrap up rather quickly. I felt the ending was rushed. But overall, these books have been a pleasant surprise and a guilty pleasure. I won’t continue on with the series though, I think it’s wrapped up enough here and I’m not interested in (view spoiler)[the next generation. The MC is America’s daughter (hide spoiler)].

Yes, same feeling here! I didn't really care for the little "love triangle" thing going on with them.

Alaina & Sara, can you confirm if you intend to read the next book in the Selection series? We need at least two readers to confirm their participation for a buddy read thread to be posted; since Allie is not continuing with the series, we need to know about both of yours participation by the 25th of this month.
