Ahhh I’m glad that Laila forgave Séverin for the horrific insult at the end of the last book, but I almost wish she didn't. Honestly Séverin is being a huge bitch to Laila and she deserves so much better, I can't believe all this 'she's never lost anything' stuff. And the diamond collar? TRIGGERED. I was so proud of Laila for her insult about bitches when she got the collar, and I'm so proud of her for not wearing it! Séverin doesn't deserve Laila!
Also I'm insanely proud of Laila for telling Enrique and Zofia that she's Made and that she's dying, those 3 are such great friends and I love it. I just wish Zofia would tell the others that her sister is dying!
I completely forgot that Tristan was torturing birds and stuff.... and now it seems like he killed Gluttony because Gluttony was going to leave them? Damn boy. And I forgot that Séverin didn’t know about the bird stuff! Now he’s so broken and messed up... surely the gang will help him put himself back together. I miss the gang!
And noooo my poor Enrique, my little baby, my darling historian!!! I can’t believe the Ilustrados just rejected him and didn’t arrive! Poor Enrique, he deserves so much better. (Also pre-noon Laila? HILARIOUS.) But also this Enrique/Zofia/Hypnos love triangle is killing me..... I ship Enrique and Zofia so much! For some reason I get the feeling Hypnos will die? Just a thought. Anyway the whole Hamlet quoting and stuff with Enrique and Zofia just makes me want to cry because they'd be SO CUTE! And then they understood each other perfectly when they were looking at the statues of the goddess, which Hypnos did nothing. I have nothing against Hypnos, but he's just, well, such a fling kinda guy ahah.
Also I hate that Zofia doesn't think she can rely on other people, or that people will want to be her friend. My poor baby needs more love!
I wonder what will happen now that whatshername has captured or trapped them or whatever.... I mean she loved Séverin so she'l probably be on their side.

Ch 1 severin
- [ ] Ah Tristan! 😭 why do they remind us of his death so soon!
- [ ] Looks like Severin is also not doing well with his loss
- [ ] Oh yes I forgot Tristan also had a fascination for killing birds 😖
- [ ] Ahh I am understanding a little bit more of this Order of Babel. So they want the divine lyrics to reassemble the Tower of Babel to gain access to God and only a certain “he” will find it. Could it be the lost Patriarch of the Fallen House?
- [ ] What?! Is Severin mad? Why would he want to be a god? Doesn’t he realise that is exact what Robert J guy tried to do and look how he ended up? How does he know that is what the others want as well? Has he even told or asked them? Severin is definitely not seeing things clearly while in grief
Ch 2 Laila
- [ ] She’s dying ? 🥺
- [ ] Wait did she love Tristan in a romantic or brotherly way?
- [ ] Oh I think Severin was upset that he didn’t know of Tristan’s violence and Laila didn’t tell him but I mean she only found out after he died too
Ch 3 Enrique
- [ ] Aww I hate how insecure Enrique is and how it becomes deeper when things don’t turn out the way he wanted
- [ ] I also don’t like how people discriminate because of age, like so what he is 20, he could have discover the origin of the universe at 20 and yet no one would have known because they didn’t attend. Despicable
- [ ] I’m so torn right now, I like Hypnos and Enrique together but man I think I love Enrique with Zofia better, it seems like Hypnos doesn’t want commitment
Ch 4 Zofia
- [ ] Aww poor Zofia, I like how we are seeing the realities of everyone’s lives, behind all the action, adventures and mysteries they all have lives and struggles that they face everyday.
- [ ] Love it, makes them relatable and lovable
Ch 5 Severin
- [ ] I’m not sure how I feel with this plan but at least it will help each of them in some way. I’m just fearful of Severin’s goal to be god
Ch 6 Laila
- [ ] Oh snap Severin! I can’t believe he actually brought her a collar, a bracelet would have been better!
Ch 7 Enrique

- [ ] Seeing Severin and Laila together is so bittersweet and I hate how they are holding a strong grudge against each other

Ch 9 Zofia
- [ ] I don’t like that Zofia thinks so little of herself, she thinks she is so much lesser than everyone, when she really is the one who helps out a lot especially with her forge abilities
- [ ] I’m really not starting to like Hypnos again, he is just too much all the time, so full of himself too
Ch 10 Laila
- [ ] Aww I’m glad Laila told Enrique and Zofia about her ability and what is to come
- [ ] I feel bad for Laila, so much hate she suffered from her father, no wonder it is hard for her to love especially know you have such little time left
- [ ] It’s so sad that she was given 19 years to live
- [ ] Okay how Severin told Hypnos to go away since he wanted to talk to his team, that was very harsh of him, especially since Hypnos has been helpful. While I still find Hypnos annoying, he didn’t deserve that cold shoulder
Ch 11 Severin
- [ ] Even in all this chaos Severin still tries to think of what could have happened if he had made them all gods, not how much he loved them or enjoyed their company or how much he was thankful for the time he had with each of them. He is still thinking about giving them immortality!

- [ ] The matriarch of House Kore? What is she doing there, also wasn’t she dead? I might be confusing myself

I got into a reading slump, but not the usual where you stop reading altogether, more like a reading slump for just this book? If that makes sense? For some reading I had no motivation to continue on reading it, every time I did, I felt so sluggish and just stopped. So I stopped read and ended up reading other cheerful things to hopefully get me out of it. Seems like it worked! And finally read part 1! Ahh

Yeah I feel the same, cause how else would Enrique stop going after Hypnos and see Zofia? Like Enrique wants commitment but Hypnos is not. And yes he isn’t too helpful either, especially during that goddess scene. More Zenrique please!

Severin is on a another planet man, he’s desire to forget has completely overtaken him and I fear it will cost him the love and trust of everyone in the gang, not just Laila
