Read below to know how we organize BoTMs, and what are the rules and guidelines.

Each month, we select 2 BoTms through polls, & design a Reading Calendar for each book. This Reading Calendar is nothing, but a schedule we follow, to complete the book in time. You can refer to it as a guide, to finish the book in the concerned month, or you can read at your own pace. It's not necessary to follow, except that we encourage readers to check in at Checkpoints & answer a few questions put up by Checkpoint Leaders, & engage in the discussion, and share thoughts regarding the book.

The Reading Calendar of the book is as:
‌✔️Each book of our BOTM is going to be divided into four Checkpoints according to the number of pages of the book.
‌✔️Each checkpoint will have a tentative start and an end date. Consider it as a guideline that you can follow to complete the book in a month (though it isn't compulsory to follow).
‌✔️For each Checkpoint we will have one volunteer. acting as a leader for the concerned timeline..
‌✔️At the completion of a checkpoint, the leader has to put up some questions about that part of the book which has been completed. Other people reading the book can answer the questions (including the leader who has put them up). More information regarding this can be found in the topic Volunteering Info
‌✔️Each participant of the book discussion is asked to clear the checkpoint by the date given and post it in the discussion when you pass the checkpoint though it's not necessary to complete by the tentative date. You can post whenever you passed that point along with the date of completion whether it's early or later than the date.
‌✔️During the course of the book reading, everyone is allowed to put up questions, comments, etc. about the book they feel like sharing. There's no restriction to sharing whatever you want to about the book as long as it's spoiler free.
✔️‌The discussion topic would be open for review only at the completion of all the checkpoints. Reviews posted prior to that date will be deleted by mods. If you have already read the book, even then it's a request you abstain from posting reviews and spoilers though you can participate in discussion throughout the month and answer the questions and so on.

‌This plan has been created to keep this discussion interesting and interactive and to encourage readers to complete books by the end of the month.
We sincerely hope that you like this idea and will participate in the discussions.

🆕ℹ️We are making some changes to our BoTM Reading Calendar:-🆕ℹ️

1. Each book will, now be divided into 20 days timeline, instead of 30/31 days. Usually, most readers, are able to complete the book in 15-20 days, & it becomes difficult to post questions/answers for checkpoints later on, as some of us have to go back through the book. So, to keep the discussion interesting, this change has been decided.

2. There will be 5 threads now for one book, instead of just one.
We'll have 4 threads for 4 Checkpoints (A, B, C, D), where the questions/answers regarding the particular section of the book will be posted. One thread will be a SPOILER thread, which will be open throughout the month, for posting about the book in general, & anyone who has read the book in the past can share their thoughts freely over there, without any restrictions.
Once you finish reading the book, you can head to the spoiler thread to share your review & thoughts about the book if any.

3. Now, checkpoint volunteers will more appropriately be called Checkpoint Leaders, & anyone who volunteers to be one, will have to act as a leader up until the completion of the checkpoint. This means, that the Checkpoint A leader will be responsible for keeping the Checkpoint A thread active, maybe by checking in with everyone, who has started reading the book, etc., & encouraging everyone to participate & share their thoughts, including posting the questions at the end date of Checkpoint A. How the leader keeps the discussion active, is up to them, but the general idea is to share your own progress/thoughts & encourage others to, as well.

--->Hoping these changes will work better for the group & discussions in general.
Everyone is welcome to share their opinions regarding this & suggest changes if you have any!
