Yess, there will be another book, it’ll be named The Shattered Castle and will be released in October 2021.(soo farr😭)Also I can’t wait for you guys to read the captive kingdom, it’s just so amazing!!!
Oh! Some of you may know but Jennifer Nielsen has a blog and she has some short stories from The Ascendance Series, I read her newest yesterday but you have to read it after the Captive Kingdom. But there are some old ones which you would love.

Yes!! I read it too, it was hilarious! And did you know she's been talking about another project of hers. I'm not sure if it's a historical fiction, standalone, or what but it sounds so cool! She's calling it 'Black Ink' for now but that's not the title. I saw a snippet of it in one of her Christmas gift posts xD

I just started this a couple of days ago and I don't know how I like it. Something feels different (maybe because they're out on sea?) but it still has the essence of Sage so I love that!

Oooh maybe it’s because she wrote it later and her writing style changed? Who knows - as long as it still has the essence of sage it’s all good! 😄 honestly can’t wait to get to this, might bump it up in the January queue...

My copy hasn't come in yet and I'm hoping it'll come in this month. I really want to read this!!

Haven't started it here yet either. Finishing BOTM and then another BR before I delve into this. May be mid-month before I can start. But I will for sure.

Oooh I saw it but it isn’t my favourite - maybe because turquoise isn’t my favourite colour? I like it but something about the shield isn’t what I’d have preferred- absolutely can’t wait to read though!!

That's my favorite color! 😍😂 I actually didn't think the color went with the rest of the colors in the series but I still loved it. 😂 Because I can't wait to read it!!!

Yes, that’s what I thought! The blue, green and red went together really well and then the purple did too - maybe it’ll grow on me 🤔 I honestly can’t wait to get to the captive kingdom so I can read the blurb for shattered castle 😂

Finally the weekend and I can read, read, read.

Yes!! I saw her update about the cover on Instagram before I saw her blog post and I must say, it's absolutely gorgeous!! However, I also don't think it fits with the rest of the books. I mean, turquoise is just another shade of blue/green right? So unless that hints at some events in book 1/2 or some significance of those books dealing with the fifth one, I don't see how it relates to the rest of the books. My first thought was that it was repetitive. I thought the next one would be like a neutral greyscale color with a grabbing color in the middle, like the fire on the shield. But then again, it could have also been a yellow/orange and I would've thought it fit too, I don't know though. Maybe it was just a nice color to them?

As soon as I get back from work today, I'm finally starting this!! SO excited! 😄

I was up until 2am finishing! It was everything I wanted, not quite expected, and with just as many thrills, twists, forged relationships, endearing love, and excitement. I couldn't put it down last night. There is definitely another book!

Ikr! I was worried for some things and how things were gonna happen, but Jennifer Nielsen summed up everything just perfectly! She can’t stop amusing me.
