Talk here to discuss reading plans, and to strategize how we can do this and have fun :)

Anna 'Bookbuyer' (bookbuyer) | 988 comments Woohoo!

Anna 'Bookbuyer' (bookbuyer) | 988 comments I'm really eager to start this one. ^_^

I figure we can start as a group and if this does well and we get more participants on things this year, maybe in spring/summer we can do more team and individual challenges but I though for now, we just keep it light. Easier on me too lol. But I hope more join in or become active again.

Anna 'Bookbuyer' (bookbuyer) | 988 comments I hope we get more people!

I love group challenges! Always motivates me a LOT more than solo. :)

Same. It's also why I set a goal for us to reach.

Now you see why I laughed when I saw your game. Because I had this in the plans.

Anna 'Bookbuyer' (bookbuyer) | 988 comments Jamie wrote: "Same. It's also why I set a goal for us to reach."

I'm so excited!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ^_^

This is my only 'group' challenge this month so I'm going full force with probably like 3 books. :P

lol. At least people might be able to get some letter ideas from that thread. 😂

3 is good right about now. :)
And why did you go solo in YA? 3 still helps.

message 12: by Anna 'Bookbuyer' (new)

Anna 'Bookbuyer' (bookbuyer) | 988 comments X shouldn't be too bad. You said we can use it for any word in the title. We just need to read a lot of books with the words fox, axes, box, sex, hex, wax etc. I actually found a list of X words so it's easy to google. ^_^

Wanted to ease back in and I'm not sure I'll be able to keep up/have energy to write reviews. So I wanted to go solo so I wouldn't disappoint anyone. :)

Ahh. Gotcha. Yeah, reviews can feel tedious. It is why I stopped blogging. A few sentences were one thing, but a few paragraphs can feel like work.
It's also why I don't ask for or want reviews here. I just want everyone to enjoy reading. :)

Jamie | 2554 comments Mod
So I am starting the year reading: The Eye of the World (The Wheel of Time, #1) by Robert Jordan and Finale (Hush, Hush, #4) by Becca Fitzpatrick

So I might be able to cover B with that second one but likely it will take me a while so F or H more likely, depending who all joins.
Eye of the World: maybe E since it is my focus book but it is LONG.

message 16: by Anna 'Bookbuyer' (new)

Anna 'Bookbuyer' (bookbuyer) | 988 comments I love not having to write reviews! It can be useful but I’m lazy lol

message 17: by Anna 'Bookbuyer' (new)

Anna 'Bookbuyer' (bookbuyer) | 988 comments Would that count as T or E?

message 18: by Jamie (new)

Jamie | 2554 comments Mod
Either. It is any word in the title, series, or author name as long as it starts with the letter. So The Eye of the World can be used for T, E, O, W, R, or J. not including other languages. :)

We can use that yet since it B is next. But if we get to D in the next couple weeks we can use it then. :)

Aly (alyp_01) | 358 comments Can I use Heavy Crown (Brutal Birthright #6) by Sophie Lark for B since the series name is Brutal Birthright?

Anna 'Bookbuyer' (bookbuyer) | 988 comments I just realized this is the author who wrote The Darkest Minds (The Darkest Minds, #1) by Alexandra Bracken that name seemed familiar but I didn't connect the two. lol

Trying to see what I might have for I. Goodreads keeps saying over capacity...
I also have 3 books in progress so not sure... If course I could put Finale on hold since it is no good until B again lol.

Kai Charles(Fiction State Of Mind) (fictionstateofmind) I can do I ! . Im reading Ironman 2020 volume 1 right now. :)

Adriana | 61 comments I read this book The Night She Fell by Jennifer Soucy and a sequel is supposed to be coming out later this year. But it's not indicated in Goodreads that it's part of the series. The book is called She Who Destroys. If you look at the stay tuned on the author's website the book title for the sequel is She Who Destroys. Does it count? https://www.jenniferlsoucy.com/

I forget can I use books I started last month? I might have some more. I need to read the rules again. lol.

message 44: by Anna 'Bookbuyer' (new)

Anna 'Bookbuyer' (bookbuyer) | 988 comments Okay so no rules about books except part of a series. That's not a problem for me. lol. 😂

So I think I can use The Queen's Witch (Cassandra Palmer #0.6) by Karen Chance Quidditch Through the Ages (Hogwarts Library) by Kennilworthy Whisp and I'm figuring out if I can use スキップ・ビート! 47 (Skip Beat!, #47) by Yoshiki Nakamura

message 45: by Anna 'Bookbuyer' (new)

Anna 'Bookbuyer' (bookbuyer) | 988 comments I'm also currently listening to Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone (Harry Potter, #1) by J.K. Rowling and reading Embrace the Night (Cassandra Palmer, #3) by Karen Chance

I'll probably finish HP tonight but I have no clue when I'll finish my physical book. Could be tonight could a week. 🤷‍♀️
