I'm going to start the first book as soon as I finish my current read!
I read about 100 pages (just finished chapter 7) and here are my thoughts so far:-I forgot Katniss tried to drown Buttercup the cat
-Drunk Haymitch is hilarious 😂
-They talk about food A LOT; Katniss spends a lot of time describing the meals given to her by the Capitol... this book is making me hungry
-I wish they had the line where Effie says "that is mahogany" in the book!!
-My favourite scene: when Katniss shot the arrow at the pig 😄
How's the reading going for you guys? I might continue tonight, but I don't want to be ahead 😂

Just finished reading part 2. Rue's death always makes me sad!! If only she survived. I loved their friendship

Yesterday I was too lazy to read after finishing Clockwork Angel. The good news is, I'll probably finish Catching Fire today since I'm currently on chapter 22.
I find the games in this book to be cooler than in the first book. The idea of having an arena like a clock where each hour a new obstacle happens is a cool idea! Also, I remember in part 2 Katniss and Peeta were watching a video of Haymitch's time in the Hunger Games. Based on the brief events they mentioned, I would've loved to read a book about his experience. I hope the author ends up writing a book just about Haymitch!
Just finished Catching Fire! I plan to start Mockingjay tomorrow.

The thing is, I didn't like it but I didn't hate it. I went back and forth between three and two-point-five stars for a while before settling.

It's okay for a YA dystopia that was basically just a cash grab, there was no reason to come back when it did other than to make money off of fans. So the story isn't like super well done and has an actual purpose, and it follows Snow. Which made me more exited for it but most people were mad. But if rather see the villain's side than Haymitch's which is what one person said would be cool and it grew into a rumor that that's what it was going to be so people got mad...
Uhm anyways.
It doesn't do justice to the originals, and that's still counting the fact that the originals haven't aged well. It's okay if you want a YA book. But if you want the hunger games... Nah. Just nah.

I viewed it more as a story about Snow and how he became the person he is. I'm glad it wasn't a redemption story for him, because he's an awful person. I also liked seeing how the Games became the way they were. They used to be so different in the past.
Of course, the original series is much better than the prequel!
I'm going through this book a little slower than the other two. Currently on chapter 8.I find the Katniss vs Haymitch thing a little funny in this book. It's obvious they are both annoyed with each other and its funny how Haymitch responds to Katniss's actions.
Haymitch is giving me a deadly smile and saying sweetly, “Yeah, we wouldn’t want to lose our little Mockingjay when she’s finally begun to sing.” I make a note to myself not to end up alone in a room with him, because he’s clearly having vengeful thoughts over that stupid earpiece.
That scene made me laugh 😂😂😂
Chapter 13: Peeta brainwashed and viewing Katniss as a mutt that the Capitol created is so sad to see. I feel like he suffered the most in this series.
Yes! Poor Peeta. And he’s the best character who’s alive by the end of the series. (Finnick, Cinna 😭)
Finally finished Mockingjay!!I kept my rating the same as before, 3 stars. It had some good parts, but there were some slow parts as well. And I was annoyed with the fate of some characters. Especially of Finnick and Prim 😭 If this book had a different ending, I would've liked it more.
