So excited to start reading this during January. I read Aurora Rising during december and I enjoyed Amie Kaufman's writing style, so I'm hoping that I will also enjoy this novel as well. Happy reading everyone!

(Approximately)Also ordered my copy of The Other Side of the Sky. It looks soooo good, and I likely wouldn't have thought to pick it up if not for this book club!

I'm wondering when then Feb book will be decided. Depending on which book it is, it might take some time to get here :/ bookstores and libraries are closed here until mid Feb at least, so I'll have to order online if I don't happen to have it already.
In reply to last post: Yes! Bookstores here in Quebec are closed too and my library requires appointments for pick up that take as long or longer than shipping.

When I first read this book a month ago, I knew it would be the perfect way to start 2021. It’s a story about worlds colliding, empathy and learning to listen and learn from others who couldn’t be more different than us. The magic and whimsy of this world is strikingly similar to Miyazaki’s work, especially films like Howl’s Moving Castle and Spirited Away, and as a huge fan of these films, I fell in love with this book instantly.
