Just ordered off Indigo and anxiously await its arrival in the mail!

Also ordered my copy of The Other Side of the Sky. It looks soooo good, and I likely wouldn't have thought to pick it up if not for this book club!
PS. Shipping was free and I earned a couple dollars off. Little things in life...

“Prince North’s home is in the sky, in a gleaming city held aloft by intricate engines, powered by technology. Nimh is the living goddess of her people on the Surface, responsible for providing answers, direction—hope.
North’s and Nimh’s lives are entwined—though their hearts can never be. Linked by a terrifying prophecy and caught between duty and fate, they must choose between saving their people or succumbing to the bond that is forbidden between them.”
When I first read this book a month ago, I knew it would be the perfect way to start 2021. It’s a story about worlds colliding, empathy and learning to listen and learn from others who couldn’t be more different than us. The magic and whimsy of this world is strikingly similar to Miyazaki’s work, especially films like Howl’s Moving Castle and Spirited Away, and as a huge fan of these films, I fell in love with this book instantly.
There will be two different discussion threads, one for discussing the book spoiler-free. And one for discussing with all the spoilers! This one is best to use after you’ve finished the book, but you can jump in mid-read as well if you like!
