Angie Murphy | 9 comments Working on my plan:

Books 1-10. Pick 10 books any format you want that you'll been wanting to read, Could be off your own To be read mountains or library etc.

Peter Swanson, Eight Perfect Murders -- finished this; enjoyed it!
Richard Osman, Thursday Murder Club
Lou Berney, November Road
Lisa Jewell, Invisible Girl
Lawrence Wright, The End of October
Dervla McTiernan, The Scholar
Jennifer McMahon, Winter People
Anthony Horowtiz, Magpie Murders
Simone St. James, Haunting of Maddie Clare
Gilly Macmillan, The Nanny - currently reading

The next 11 books is the "Plus" part of the challenge. Hope you enjoy and are able to find some great book that will fit in.

11. A book set in a different country than you live in.
- Jane Harper, The Survivors - finished 2/24. Atmospheric. Had a hard time getting into it at first but finished the last half of it in a day. Liked it.

12. Read a book by an author that you never read before or one by a new debut author.

-Stuart Turton, The 7 1/2 Deaths of Evelyn Hardcastle - Finished this - really cool concept, got into it quickly but got a bit lost half way through with the twists and turns. Still recommended!

13. A book that someone recommended to you.
VE Schwab, The Invisible Life of Addie Larue

14. A book that is a different genre than your normal type of read (could be out of your comfort zone).
Min Jin Lee, Pachinko

15 & 16. Two books from a series you haven't completed yet (Everyone has that one or two books to still read to catch up in a series).

- Tana French, Broken Harbor (Dublin Murder Squad 4) - listened on audible. Loved the accents and the story.

- Tana French, The Secret Place ( Dublin Murder Squad 5)

17. A book that comes out in 2021.

-Alex Michaelides, The Maidens (June 2021)

18. A book you meant to read in 2020 but never got around to it.

-Alex Marwood, The Darkest Secret

19. A book that came out before you were born. (this one might be harder to do but we know you can handle it)

-Agatha Christie, Death on the Nile

20. A book that is done by more than one author (it can be a book of short stories by different authors, or one book that is one story with more than 1 author like Patterson, or Evanovich and I'm sure there are others.

Stephen King and Richard Chizmar, Gwendy's Button Box - I loved this story. Is reading a novella for the challenge cheating? I hope not.

21. A book that won an award.

- Brit Bennett, The Vanishing Half

Carol/Bonadie (bonadie) | 9483 comments Good start, Angie! I'm a little farther along than you are but I've got to get back to Tana French. I think the two left are standalones (The Searcher and The Witch Elm) but I should be able to add one to my DL.

Ann (annrumsey) | 16925 comments Angie: Good plan with Tana French and the Dublin Murder squad. I haven't decided on my unfinished series books yet. There are so many to choose from on my tbr. Good luck with your challenge!

Donnajo | 4351 comments Good picks so far Angie. I can do the evanovich new one I'm reading now as a series one or I can motivate myself and do Patterson I liked when I did his book as a audio (women's murder club) Or go completely crazy and read the one catherine coulter hc oldie I still have unread which I own a hardcover. I guess when the time comes I'll decide where my mood wants to take me. Reason why I don't pick ahead.

Barbara K Ooo, I forgot that I have the last Dublin murder series book to read. That would work for the unfinished series. Thanks for the tip!

I thought the Women's Murder Club series went downhill with the last few (17 onwards).

Donnajo | 4351 comments I’m a little behind only up to 12. There used to be a day when I was reading more Patterson books than anything but got tired of them so haven’t been keeping up. Same with his other series. And except for a few of his print signed books that I owned unread from when back in stone ages I got rid of them last year. Didn’t have many but figured if I wanted to read them I could get from library.
