I hope you're enjoying that one as much as I did Carolyn! A brilliant debut!
I am enjoying it - I didn't realise it was about the '67 bushfires in Tasmania. I hadn't heard about them (I was still a youngster in the UK) so it's new to me to read about them and the effect on the apple growers. My father in law was in the apple business for a while in southwest WA and his wife and my husband (after school) would help picking and packing apples so it's also interesting to read about this.
Yes there's a lot of interesting little facts about all you've mentioned - I thoroughly enjoyed it :)
One of my favourite genres - historical fiction based on real events!
