Immortals After Dark discussion

I started reading the books a long time ago in high school so it was embarrassing having to cover all the steamy covers from my parents, but now I’m kind of sad that the new prints have replaced them with these random face pictures as covers 😂

Anyone else noticed this recently? Which cover images do you prefer?

The original covers bring back good memories, even though they were kind of lurid lol! I do have fond memories of them!

Everything I read now is on my kindle so I don't have to worry about the covers and some random person giving me the side eye about them and looking down their nose at those of us who read romance or pnr.

Si I was the exact same way. My English teacher actually took my book from me once and in my head I just kept repeating “don’t look at the cover, don’t look at the cover” I went to an all girls catholic high school lol

Jackie, I'd have been sliding to the floor if that had happened to me at school lol.

I’m not a fan of a naked chest on a cover—-I like it more artsy so I dig the new ones. Like Showalter’s LOTU series had the butterflies for covers for awhile.

I prefer the new ones, although I mostly own the books with their old covers, eeek!! :) I must admit I am generally horrified by some of the covers of very good books which have deterred me from reading them in the past...(kind of judging the book by its covers, eh! :)) I can't get past by the old timey and cringy looking covers and half naked damsels in utter abandonment or whatever they are experiencing... I also greatly dislike seeing movie covers on books I have read before they were turned into movies, so there is that, too...

Oh, I really liked the LOTU butterfly covers, those were great!
