I've really enjoyed the Keun novels I've read, hope this one works for you.

It was brilliant. I enjoyed it so much and recently have thought I would read it again.

I adore Buddenbrooks! Read 5 times so far and wouldn’t say no to another reread at some point. I am also reminded of it every day as my car keys hang on a keyring of the Buddenbrooks house in Lübeck. What a fangirl!

How did you like it? We read it in 10th grade, I thought it was an excellent read (even then).
