The 2020 Challenge was a success, getting me to go from 1 or 2 reviews a year, to over 50.

I'm not sure what goal to set this year. since I managed 43% last time, I'd like to try for 50% this year. However, I also realize that my percentage is going to be thrown a lot by how much manga I read, since I'll usually only review a single volume for the series. Maybe if I treat each series as a single volume?

Which makes my adjusted total from last year:
54/105 (51%) or 56/105(53%)

Yep, that looks like a good goal, since I just barely cleared it last time. My instinct is to make it harder by not counting multiple reviews per series, as if that'd be "cheating" somehow. But since the whole point of the challenge is for me to write more, I'd hardly discourage myself from writing reviews that "don't count." Although there isn't really a Japanese community on Goodreads, it also gives me the opportunity to write the rare Review auf 日本語。

This year has been extremely slumpish so far, but it seems I'm starting to come out of it and pick up steam again. Fortunately, it seems like without realizing it, the motivation to read again is also linked to motivation to review.
