I've picked (at a slight stretch) Hedy's Folly: The Life and Breakthrough Inventions of Hedy Lamarr, the Most Beautiful Woman in the World -- I discovered she grew up in Vienna at the same time as my partner's grandfather. While that's a tenuous connection, it still feels like a very cool one :-)
