I too shifted from my home town around 2 years back, and I miss it...Life in a big city is quite different from that in my small home town

Hi there, fellow Indians!!

I miss my home town too! I'm from the Northern hilly region but since my father works in a different state, we live away from my home town and only get to visit during Summer and Diwali Vacations. And because of COVID-19, I haven't visited in a year and don't think I'll be able to anytime soon. I don't like it much here other than my school life. Sometimes I crave to have some friend from my state with whom I can talk about my culture and small festivals and food and stuff. But I constantly shower my friends here with little information about my culture and traditions and they tell me about theirs. So, I don't feel completely alienated.😇
It's not boring..every place has it's unique culture and it's always fascinating, atleast to me!

I took a basic German class around 2 years ago...I don't remember everything that was taught now, but the class did help me appreciate Germans and their culture. I really want to visit Germany one day. I especially want to witness the Oktoberfest!

I wanted to study in Germany but I can't speak German and I don't think learning the language in so little time will help with the classes😭. Maybe in the future🤞

Wow that's cool. I don't know about living there, but I am definitely visiting the USA atleast once in my life. It's at the top of my travel bucket list :)

Both my parents grew up in California. My dad's parents are Indian, and he was born in California. My mom moved to the US from Vietnam when she was 1 so she lived there for a while. California is kind of like my second home, I guess, because most of my family lives there, but I live literally across the country from them. I was born on the East Coast (Maryland) and I still live there but I visit California a lot because most of my family lives there.
