Anetq | 57 comments Not how many I'll get to, just checked - I read about 60 women last year, and some of those would have been in original English or Danish... But I should be able to cover at least 20 (probably more).

For anyone wanting to read Danish literature translated into English, I made a list a few years ago: https://www.goodreads.com/list/show/9...

Books in my current piles that fit the category:

Europe:
Simone de Beauvoir De uadskillelige aka The Inseparables
Friederike Mayröcker Rejse gennem natten aka Reise durch die Nacht
Marguerite Yourcenar Orientalske noveller aka Oriental Tales
Asli Erdogan By i blodrød kappe aka The City in Crimson Cloak
Jenny Hval Perlebryggeriet aka Paradise Rot
Kjersti Annesdatter Skomsvold 33

Asia:
Can Xue Aldrende skyer i drift

Africa:
Lauren Beukes Den som han peger på aka The Shining Girls
Buchi Emecheta Børn er en velsignelse aka The Joys of Motherhood

US:
Tara Westover Oplyst
Lisa Taddeo Tre kvinder
Karin Slaughter Den sidste enke

Alwynne Thanks for the list I'll check it out, interesting selection a number of writers whose work I've enjoyed although not the same works, and Mayrocker someone I'm meaning to read soon.
