Fans of Eloisa James & Julia Quinn discussion

Hi! I'm new. I had never seen any Julia Quinn novels until I watched Bridgerton. I just read a comparison between the Season and The Duke and I and they seem awfully similar. I'm not a huge fan of reading something I know what happens in... so I am wondering... Can I skip right to The Viscount? How close to where Season 1 leaves off, does it start? Thank you :) Sarah

Hi Sarah, I just did a reread of the series after I watched Bridgerton and I think you should be fine reading The Viscount Who Loved Me. I think it starts maybe a year or two after The Duke and I.

It would work, but they did change some stuff from the books. Also, JQ does amazing dialogue that they didn't take advantage of in the show.

I found them different and read them in order. There are links of one book to another.

I did see there were some changes. I'm just afraid I will not be as captivated knowing the outcome. I am not a re-read person ;)
