Definitely the books!! I read it 2-3 years back but I still remember how I couldn't stop reading the complete trilogy, it was so interesting. (I finished it in 4 days lol)
I watched the movies recently and
found them a bit boring, don't get me wrong I love both Jennifer Lawrence and Liam Hemsworth and the cinematography was also nicely done but I just watched the movies for the sake of watching not because it was interesting.
I'm a huge fan of both the movies and the books, but I have to say that the books are better in my opinion. There's just some scenes in the movies that feel slightly awkward, especially in the first film, and there's so many parts of the books that I wish they'd have put in the movies.
