I started this today. So far, Abby is in San Francisco.

This is gorgeously written, but omg. I was anxious in reading the entire book! A child disappears without a trace. Is she dead or alive? The book was like a memoir, not a novel.

Costa Rica makes an appearance, but the novel isn't really about Costa Rica except how a tourist might see it on a long vacation.

Thanks for the clarification April. I was looking for a Pacific Islands book for a challenge, but I guess this won't work for that. It sounds good though so it's on my list.
