Your blog or here! :) I don't have a blog so I use the threads that Michelle makes to state my readathon intentions.

message 13: by Elyse (new)

Elyse (winesaboutbooks) | 565 comments Working from home due to the snowstorm (we got about 10 inches and it's barely snowing now, hopefully it's done) so I ended up finishing listening to Ikenga by Nnedi Okorafor . It was a really good middle grade fantasy novel. Now I'm listening to another NetGalley audio ARC Excuse Me While I Ugly Cry by Joya Goffney .

message 14: by Kate (new)

Kate Bainbridge (fushiadot) | 4 comments Sweet!! Ok so my intentions for the ReadAThon are to finish book 5 of the Skullduggery Pleasant series, then read books 6 - 9 (inclusive) before moving on to one of Conn Iggulden’s series. I read books 1 - 4 in January but maybe I can get the remaining done this month... we’ll have to see x

message 15: by Kate (new)

Kate Bainbridge (fushiadot) | 4 comments Just finished my first book for the RAT!! Skullduggery Pleasant #5 Mortal Coil by Derek Landy.

message 16: by Elyse (new)

I finished reading Marvel's Black Panther Sins of the King by Ira Madison III yesterday and read Remote Control by Nnedi Okorafor today and now I'm reading Transcendent Kingdom by Yaa Gyasi .

message 17: by Elyse (last edited Feb 08, 2021 04:53AM) (new)

Elyse (winesaboutbooks) | 565 comments I finished listening to Felix Ever After by Kacen Callender and finished reading Transcendent Kingdom by Yaa Gyasi yesterday.
I started reading The Burning Girls by C.J. Tudor yesterday.
I started listening to The City We Became (Great Cities, #1) by N.K. Jemisin today.

Looks like a lot of great reading going on. Keep it up!

The prize page is posted...link in the top of this thread.

Now I'll share what I'm reading....

My six month read-along (section 2 for the RAL): The Count of Monte Cristo by Alexandre Dumas
My book club book for Feb: The Painted Veil by W. Somerset Maugham

Going to start this, as the series starts this weekend (it's gigantic so no way I'll finish it before the first few episodes, at least!): The Luminaries by Eleanor Catton
And this one before the Netflix series (movie?) on Feb 17: Behind Her Eyes by Sarah Pinborough

The rest: The Witch's Trinity by Erika Mailman Mexican Gothic by Silvia Moreno-Garcia Writing in the Dark by Tim Waggoner

We shall see how it goes. :)

message 20: by Elyse (last edited Feb 10, 2021 09:19AM) (new)

Elyse (winesaboutbooks) | 565 comments I've been listening to The City We Became (Great Cities, #1) by N.K. Jemisin but I've moved offices at work and now I'm alone so I can listen to audiobooks all day! Woohoo! But that means I can't listen to anything that I have to pay 100% attention to. Which you have to for The City We Became.
So I started listening to I Tried to Change So You Don't Have To True Life Lessons by Loni Love . Nonfic/biographies are easier to half-listen to because you're not really listening to a story, you won't miss anything critical. And I'll continue with The City We Became during my commutes/errands/cooking.
I'm almost done reading The Burning Girls by C.J. Tudor which published yesterday. It's really good!
