okay heres a place to put any updates you have about your WIP

okay,do y'all also write different chapters from your books that have nothing to do with your current wip?Like i'm writing the first book and I decided to write a scene from the third one

Ya'll I'm writing chapter four of my story and I'm finding out things about my characters that I had no idea about! Not going to spoil anything but geez I'm worried about my characters.... Also loving my British character so much right now <33

Also I've got 6,935 words so far, but I'm writing so we'll see :)

Hey there's nothing wrong with that. Might I suggest you keep each draft or just if there's parts that you like in them, in a different document so you can look back on or use them later. It might help. Also if you're having trouble with the prologue maybe try writing chapter one first then going back to the prologue and trying again.

I almost have two pages for the same memory and I haven't even got to the part of it that's the reason why I started writing it.

And I think what I have is actually important to the plot and background on some of the characters, it's just taking a bit to get to the part where I had originally intended this to go.
Of course I'm down if anyone wants to read it once I'm done. :)

I now have the same memory but from two different POV's written. It's weird to write the same twice thing but from a different characters POV.

It's interesting to do this cause it makes you think about what it would look/feel like if you were the other person.

So, I'm writing and I go back to read what I just wrote, like people do, but everytime I try saying the word "hand" or "hands" I say "ham" instead.....why I have no freaking clue.

It's becoming a problem....a funny problem, but a problem all the same.

i think in some softwares you can replace all words with another? i dunno

Oh no I wrote the right words, it's just my brain reads "hand" but my mouth says "ham"

Then start with what you know and go from there. I wrote most of chapter six before I even wrote chapter two :)

^ Aja, great advice!
I also recommend starting with what you know because it's more interesting for readers. They don't want eight chapters of exposition, they want action.
You can always add a little bit of beginning, but what you mostly want is to speedrun the boring parts so readers don't get bored.

For me I just stay in order. It gets really confusing if I jump to different parts. Also, it feels like I haven't grown with the character?? Idk that's just me and I'm probably an anomaly

Everyone works/thinks differently. What works for me might not work for someone else. So long as you know what for yourself, you'll be golden. :)

i finally wrote a few paragraphs for the first time in a while. and my romance is going nicely.

Sad but true. I love all the romances I've read so far. It's the books that I seen to read faster. Even though I've been in love myself I still enjoy reading romance so much!

well mine isn't a full on romance. but its there. its chilling.

my romance is at a simmer. It's definitely not the main focus. I still enjoy writing it tho.

oml YES. 90% of the time I have a plan and my characters gang up on me to drag the story out of my hands and in a completely different direction. I blame my mcs.

I know right!?! It's like I thought this was a good character then nope! They killed something when they were younger or something.
