Share your ideas that aren't full-fledged plots, but definitely have potential!

I kinda love the idea of art providing magical powers and stuff? Like, music controlling people's minds or writing connecting to time travel. I have some character ideas in place but it just seems so epic to me.

LIKE PLATO'S REPUBLIC BUT WITH MORE MAGIC AND AHHH

YES this has so much potential for great worldbuilding!!! plus i'm always down for a good fantasy novel
me and my friend have this vague idea for a book about a pirate crew... who are also vampires. a ghost ship by day - with many local stories surrounding it - but it comes alive at night >:) the protagonist would likely have to be human so that they could figure out the mystery
ghost ships sound so interesting. there's so much you could do with it :))

I have a few quotes already planned that definitely show the writer's voice I'm going for
meeting your enemy at a masquerade ball to convince them to change sides O.O
you fail but you understand more what the enemy is going through and realize they're not really an "enemy" and more of an antihero
oh and theres a lot of romantic tension

that's awesome- like every single one of my stories includes a masquarade ball scene for the aesthetic

I've just had an idea for a story, and I'm busy fleshing it out, but here's the gist of it:
There is a land called Craghaven which is essentially isolated from any other country around it. They haven't made contact with neighbouring governments because there have been several catastrophic wars in the past.
The main character has joined this rebel group who believe that the Queen is corrupt and want to bring her down and make contact with other countries, except the main character is also the Queen's only daughter. So she's leading this double life trying to fulfill her goals in secret.
Also, the entire land is trapped in ice because of their climate - they have four-year long winters and summers that last a month at most, so living conditions are difficult and not many people can live easily.
If anyone's interested, I've already written the first like page so I can share that! :)

Well, this is the first page:
The candle-lit windows of the only place I've ever called home spread up before me, little beacons of hope against the nipping wind. Chills snap against my neck and whistle down around my ankles, then back along the alley towards the familiar windows of the palace. It has been there for a thousand years, and suffered wars and famines, droughts and floods.
What a pity I'm about to burn it to the ground.
A scuffle behind me brings me back to our mission and two gloved hands clamp down over my eyes.
'Guess who!'
'Bay, I know it's you - we were assigned the same tunnel entrance,'
They spin me around and as always, their blue is shining like what we last saw of the sun. Bay straightens my hood, and grins.
'There you go. You always have to look good when committing crimes of high treason against your own mother. Everyone knows that!'
'If you say so...' I release myself from their grip and spin back around towards Craghaven Palace, the target we've been working up to for the last year or so.
hope you enjoy! any feedback is of course welcome
