This thread is to discuss Angels & Demons, the first book in the Robert Langdon series by Dan Brown.

Awesome! I've got my fathers copy and I'm ready to go too. I might even start next week already if I've finished my other books on my TBR list from this month :)

I’m not reading this but I love the series so I’m going to follow this discussion if you guys done mind :)

I read this book a while back with hopes to read the series but didn't make it past the second book.

Looking forward to reading the book again and finishing up the series this time around.

Oo awesome. I've only read Angels & Demons before and I didn't realise I had to read the other books too before reading Origin, so here I am, reading them all!

Yes, I completely agree. I feel that from time to time, the way he describes her feels kind of cliché. I don't think all male authors have realized that a women is just a women in a story sometimes, nothing more. It isn't necessary to talk about the way someone's hair smells and all if you're only doing it for the female characters.

I'm loving re-reading this book. I'm noticing a lot more details and such now!

He is like that with all of his books. Everything about history, buildings, art, and city layouts should be pretty much correct. It’s insane how much effort he must put into that alone.

Oh that's awesome. I did notice that the city layout and art from this book are almost entirely correct, but I didn't expect it to be this way with all of his books. Great that it is though!

I'm not a very fast reader, but I am enjoying this book a lot.

I have read all of Dan Brown's Robert Langdon novels but I think this the best. A real tnriller!

I have less than 200 pages left and I am really enjoying the book. This book so far has been well written and full of fun facts. Can't wait to get to the end!

Just finished I give it 4/5 stars. I really enjoyed reading about Langdon, he seems like such a likeable guy!

I just scrolled through your discussion to see what others' reactions are to this one. I read it in 2010. It is my least favorite of all his books. I've read all of them, including his earlier mysteries, except Origin which I plan to read later this year. This one was too grisly for me. I'm a real wuss when it comes to reading or movies...any media, I guess. But I have loved all the others!

I can only imagine. Although I did read and love two of his books: The Green Mile and 11/22/63. Both of these are outside his usual horror/gore fare... I wish he would write more of these types of books because I really enjoy his writing style!
