Fingers crossed for a new better year! Let's talk about what we are anticipating!

I've kind of hit the wall and am anticipating very few.

I'm so excited for Rise to the Sun by Leah Johnson! Reading You Should See Me In a Crown was one of the big highlights of my 2020, and I think her new one will be awesome!

Agree with anticipated reads above. Can't wait to dive into Switch and also absorb the joy that is another Leah Johnson book.

I’ve been hearing about the Project. I read When We Were Infinite as an ARC last year before it’s publication got pushed back and I loooooved it, but then it didn’t get any starred reviews, so I don’t even know this year.

Was bored today and started a list of possible Printz 2022 titles if anyone wants to add their's. Visuals help remind me what books I might have forgotten with all the amazing books coming out this year:

I've just completed Ground Zero by Alan Gratz. A stunning read. It's very worthy of consideration by the committee (and us). The characters are young, but so were those in Gary D. Schmidt's Printz Honor book, Lizzy Bright and the Buckminster Boy.

The Project tore me apart. Summers just gets better and better. Chlorine Sky was good, but not great, for me. 🤷‍♀️

I've got The Project as an ARC somewhere--probably Netgalley. I'm looking forward to starting it soon.

For all the buzz about Lore (Bracken), I wasn't impressed.
I always enjoy Mindy McGinnis, even if I'm simultaneously repulsed. She has a new one coming, The Initial Insult.
Dustborn by Erin Bowman sounds pretty good.
Down Comes the Night by Allison Saft is pretty high on my TBR list; I love gothic.
