Josh Hetcher The Invisible Man is a short, thrilling story written during the late 1800s in a time of scientific discovery and invention. The book is about a scientist who discovers and creates a serum to make himself invisible and while the book is mainly about how he lives with this condition and his spiral into desperation and insanity, H. G. Wells does a beautiful job of going in-depth to describe how the science behind becoming invisible would work. It is intriguing to read about such an advanced concept through the lens of a nineteenth-century mind and gives the reader a newfound appreciation for the amount of thought and research that went into such a work. Character development is somewhat lacking in the first half of the read but it was still a gripping story that I vigorously read through. If you as a reader are interested in classic works and an older style of storytelling this book is for you.

toointofiction I was so completely disappointed with this book. I was very excited to start reading it and it seemed so very interesting at first but it turned out to be very dull and slow pacing, which was surprising to me given that it was only 150 pages long. I do not understand all the hype there is about this book, I expected a much better story.

Reader Given the fascinating title and the possibilities, I found this book to be dull and liefless,
