Nate Monson was gorgeous, obnoxiously wealthy, and a player.
He was also the person who could destroy my world with a single decision.

I walked into that bar looking for him.
He saw me. I saw him.
The chemistry sizzled between us, but no.

I hated Nate Monson.
I hated him with everything in me, even though my body did not.
It didn’t matter.

Nothing I wanted mattered.
He thought I wanted to get laid.
What I wanted was for him to disappear.

But first, I had to tell him that he had a daughter.

Just realizing now I haven't posted any comments for this, clearly I got sucked in lol.

62% (view spoiler)[I have to agree with a few of the reviews I read for the book in that the blurb is misleading. This book is nothing like I thought it'd be mostly because I thought Nova would be the heroine's daughter as well. It's a weird dynamic and I kinda hate the fighting over her and how cruel they are willing to be to get her. I get both her and Nate's POV and I'm not sure who I side with. Custody over kids is always a mess.
This is not like a regular Tijan book and I guess I thought Nate's would be very different than what we are getting. Not even sure if I like it at this point lol. (hide spoiler)]

Nate is a character from the Fallen Crest Series. Some of the old characters do show up (also from The Boy I Grew Up With and Rich Prick). It's marketed as a standalone but since his old friends show up so much I imagine it might be confusing if you're not familiar with any of them.

Hmm okay. I did read Boy I Grew Up With, but not Rick Prick or the fallen crest books.
You know what I should do? Read ALL of her books from the beginning so I understand everything. Then I can cap it off with her new book coming out that I got an ARC of

Lol you should. Though I will say Fallen Crest is a whole lot of teenage angst and drama (I loved it) so it may be a bit much reading them all one after the other. I think you would get by reading this without that background but it does change your perspective on things knowing some of the side characters back stories.

And yeah I want that new book so bad but I'm too chicken to request when the series is incomplete. She does tend to leave you hanging!

Finished So disappointed in this book. Maybe my expectations were too high but this was not the story I expected for the one and only Nate Monson. This would have been an excellent time to showcase them as an established couple but it was just left open. I know I was so sad it wasn't on KU. I usually love this author so I figured it'd be worth it but this was just not it :|

So yeah basically all the side characters have had their own story. It can be read as a standalone but it'll be missing something if you go in blind. If you wait on this I won't blame you lol

No, there is no outside connection to the Not Outcast. Its a complete standalone. Honestly I loooooooved that one so much so you're good there and at least it's on KU lol
