Becky Chambers has plenty of queer characters in her books. But arguably the best thing about her books is how she discusses queer topics in alien contexts. In good old science fiction tradition she puts human issues into a totally different setting with different social norms and expectations. This way she visualises how close-minded our society sometimes is. It's very smart. I love her writing, because it is thought-provoking but there is also something about it, that makes me very comfortable.
