Yay! I’ve been meaning to read my copy for a while so I am so glad it ended up as our BOTM!

I'm probably not going to read it...it doesn't sound that interesting to me and I have a lot of other books to read right now as well...I hope you guys enjoy this though!

I'll probably start this in the third week of the month

I just started it and well, it does seem kinda interesting... but then I am biased towards YA and enemies-to-lovers, so well😅

Okay, so I just finished the book and it is a great read!! A solid four star book!

So I don't read much contemporary, but I thought I'd give the book a go, and it's... fine. I'm about halfway through, and the writing style keeps me coming back for more. But I don't like Prudence. I find her self-centred and unempathetic for the most part. I'm interested to hear other people's thoughts on her.

That's true, Prudence is self-centered, but then that is kinda what the book is about.... trust me, she will grow on you.

I just finished the book!! I actually thought it was a very fun read and it made me realize how much I missed Contemporary YA!! Has anyone else finished it yet??

But why does Marissa Meyer have an obsession over writing romance? Like, I get that this is contemporary but even her Sci-Fi books have, like, over half the plot driven by romance!!!

Lol I noticed a lot of YA novels tend to have a romance-drive plot

I'm about halfway through the book and I'm enjoying it so far!!

I definitely prefer Quint's personality over Prudence, I hope to see her undergo some character development by the end of this book.

Got the book from the library and put it on my currently reading list. I am hoping to start it soon. Maybe later today.

Started this book and I'm on page 99. Prudence is... the bane of my existence right now. I'm gonna copy and paste my status update here because it sums up my thought on the book so far,

"I don't like the main character at all. She's too judgmental, self absorbed and thinks everything that goes wrong in her life has nothing to do with her. Adults have this perception of teenagers as exactly as Prudence is portrayed (selfish, moody, judgmental, etc) but not every teenager is like that and if they are it's not to this extent.

She basically took Narcissus(the god)and decided to disguise him as the MC."

Prudence does care about those who are closest to her so she's not a complete douche and has room to grow.

Quint is a sweet guy as far as I can tell and Prudence treats him like garbage. Even when he tries to help

I just finished it! It was a nice quick read. I liked the enemies-to-lovers trope. It did feel a little cliché at times and it's too bad that I didn't like Pru that much. I couldn't stand her at times and I preferred Quint much more. (view spoiler)[But I am glad that by the end of the book she starts to grow as a character. (hide spoiler)]

I'm giving it 3 stars!

I finished Instant Karma and though Prudence made me want to slap her silly, it was compulsively readable. I kept wanting to pick it up to see what would happen for the rescue centre and how prudence and quint would end up working together. Overall, a fun read though there were discussions and critiques on the use of karma in this book, specifically on Twitter. I don't really use twitter but I found the tweets through a Booktuber called Jess Owens' Communitea Discussion's.

I give it a 3 or 2.5 stars

Ahh thanks for sharing y'all! I'm so happy to hear that some like Riddhi, Pilar and May had fun with it! And I'm quite apprehensive to meet Prudence after what you all have mentioned, I truly can't deal with a main character I don't like haha but I appreciate your thoughts Eryn and Aidan!
