Share your thoughts on part 2 Serpent and Dove below,

I got to say that I’m honestly not loving it. I’ve got about 30 percent left and I’m not exactly convinced as to how much I’m going to enjoy this. The world right now still feels very sparse and there’s really little detail and while that might be ok for some, I do like a bit more worldbuilding because right now, nothing is really clear about the world at all. The characters are fine, not amazing, not terrible, although I’m not convinced with Lou and Reid’s romance though I gotta say. It’s developed ok, but it still feels rushed at the same time considering where to two started off.

Also, I’ve always seen this marketed as YA, although I can’t say I would recommend this to like twelve year olds, considering that I did just read through not an overly graphic sex scene, but explicit enough, that 1, it was awkward to have been reading this it in school surrounded by people, and 2, not really for young teens. It also just ended on a fairly major plot twist so I’m still interested in his this will go, but this is also a several book series, so it’ll be fascinating to see what the author will do to prolong the story.

It's disappointing you don't love it :(

I don't think I will read this one but am definitely going to try and read Legendborn in the next month or so, I have an extended school camp soon so might bring my copy to that.

The awkward at school thing is very relatable... especially when it's at the end of the page and sudden, I feel the need to hide my book...

OK and yeah it's somewhat disappointing, but I hope you'll enjoy Legendborn because that book was great! And well, I see we relate in that 😅

It’s not bad, but it’s definitely something I’m not into. But I’m trying to withhold my judgement until I finish it.

Totally understand that you would want to finish it first before judging it.
