Mia wants to become a writer, but her mother thinks it’s better to be good at math. Why does Mia’s mother think it’s important for Mia to be good at math? How does Mia react to her mother’s comments? How would you react?

I am very good at math. My mom would yell at me for not working on reading. I was not happy. I thought she wasn't focusing on what made me - me. That made me mad and sad.
